Non-fiction works especially well — business, self-help, memoir, how-to, and thought leadership. Readers of these books tend to have follow-up questions, and a companion chat is a natural fit. Fiction works too, particularly for books with rich worlds and characters.
No. Your book's chat answers questions and discusses ideas — it doesn't reproduce your writing. There are safeguards that prevent readers from extracting large portions of your manuscript, and you can configure your book's chat to be even more cautious if you prefer.
Yes. You set behavioral guidelines and scope boundaries during setup. Want to avoid spoiling the ending? Done. Want to keep it focused on the book's core themes? No problem. You can update these settings anytime.
Not at all. If you can fill out a form and upload a document, you can create a companion. Setup takes about 5 minutes, and the hardest thing you'll have to do is copy and paste.
